Now Jabez was more honorable than his brothers, and his mother called his name Jabez, saying, “Because I bore him in pain.” And Jabez called on the God of Israel saying, “Oh, that You would bless me indeed, and enlarge my territory, that Your hand would be with me, and that You would keep me from evil, that I may not cause pain!” So, God granted him what he requested (1 Chronicles 4:9-10). Jabez is one man who faced those struggles in life. His prayer reveals the kind of pain that he suffered in life. For instance, bless me means that he lived under a curse; enlarge my territory means that he was restricted and limited. He had tried his level best go to make headway but there was no breakthrough. His request for the hand of God to be with him means that he was treated like a reject. Nobody minded him. His request for God to deliver him from pain means that he suffered under the torment of life afflictions. However, the good news is that God enlarged his territory. His request was granted. He was more honourable than his brothers. This means that he surpassed those who had gone ahead of him. He became bigger than those who had gone before him. He was ahead of those who were ahead of him. A similar story shall be told concerning you. God is enlarging your territory. He is turning your situations around. You will never be the same. You are rising to higher grounds in all aspects of life. God has ordained spiritual breakthroughs, career and business advancement, supernatural promotions, financial overflow, healing and health and general progress and advancement in life. I want you to look at your life; anything that you consider to be your territory is enlarging this time around. You watched while a stone was cut out without hands, which struck the image on its feet of iron and clay, and broke them in pieces. Then the iron, the clay, the bronze, the silver, and the gold were crushed together, and became like chaff from the summer threshing floors; the wind carried them away so that no trace of them was found. And the stone that struck the image became a great mountain and filled the whole earth (Daniel 2:34-35). No matter how small you think you are, like this stone that became a great mountain and filled the whole earth, you too are rising higher and are becoming greater in all aspects of life. God is upgrading your life and is relocating you to higher realms of breakthroughs and testimonies. He abides faith and will never allow His own to suffer shame or their foot to be moved.
