Yesterday, we mentioned that there are ten major blessings of Jubilee. In this devotional, we will be looking at the five last set of these blessings as follows: 1. Increase. Jubilee was associated with increase. God told Israel not to do any work in the time of Jubilee. He promised them that He would command the ground to produce a three-times yield. So, they had plenty in the 49th year, 50th year and the 51st year. (Leviticus 25:18-22). May your joy increase in this season. 2. Rest. It was a year in which all labour ceased. Israel did not work in the gardens for that year. Slaves were freed from slavery. The Jubilee rest foreshadowed Christ’s work which brought rest to mankind (Matthew 11:28-29. Joshua 11:23). 3. Vengeance. At Jubilee, God avenged all the wickedness on behalf of His children (Isaiah 61:3). Jubilee is a time to ask God to repay the persecutors of your destiny with tribulation (2 Thessalonians 1:6). 4. New beginnings. It was a season of starting again. Christ came to give us new beginnings, a fresh start. We were enslaved to the devil, sin and bondage but He rescued us (Colossians 1:13). He came to give us a new lease of life (2 Corinthians 5:17). 5. The Jubilee blessings culminates in the revelation of God’s glory (Isaiah 61:7; 40:4-5); and when glory begins, you can only move from glory to glory (2 Corinthians 3:18).

Father, thank You for these Jubilee blessings. Please cause them to operate fully in and through my life, in Jesus mighty name!
